{"id":11285,"date":"2019-02-15T20:32:36","date_gmt":"2019-02-15T18:32:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.damtn.government.bg\/struktura-i-dejnosti\/"},"modified":"2025-01-15T17:28:00","modified_gmt":"2025-01-15T15:28:00","slug":"structure-and-activities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.damtn.government.bg\/en\/about-us\/structure-and-activities\/","title":{"rendered":"Structure and activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\" id=\"wpb-content-root\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>STATE AGENCY FOR METROLOGICAL AND TECHNICAL SURVEILLANCE (SAMTS)<\/strong>\u00a0is the state surveillance authority.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SAMTS carries out the following\u00a0<strong>activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Market surveillance of products placed on the market and\/or put into service within the scope Directives and Regulations under the Union harmonisation legislation;<\/li>\n<li>Market surveillance of construction products; products related to the energy consumption as regards the eco design requirements; electrical and electronic equipment in relation to the restrictions of the use of certain dangerous substances and its waste;<\/li>\n<li>Technical inspection of high-risk equipment;<\/li>\n<li>Quality control of liquid fuels;<\/li>\n<li>Metrological supervision;<\/li>\n<li>Designation and supervision of conformity assessment bodies for products within the scope Directives and Regulations under the Union harmonisation legislation;<\/li>\n<li>Supervision of dam walls and related facilities;<\/li>\n<li>Quality control of solid fuels for domestic heating.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>According to the actual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.damtn.government.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/zakoni\/ustroystven_pravilnik_damtn.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rules of procedure<\/a> SAMTS has 462 employees and the following structure:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li><strong>Management<\/strong> (President, 2 Vice Presidents, Secretary General);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Two financial controllers<\/strong>, directly subordinated to the SAMTS President<\/li>\n<li><strong>General Administration<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>Directorate \u201cFinancial and economic activities and project management\u201d \u2013 D FEAPM<\/li>\n<li>Directorate \u201cAdministrative, legal and information services\u201d \u2013 D ALIS;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Specialized Administration:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Directorate General \u201cMarket surveillance\u201d \u2013 DG MS;<\/li>\n<li>Directorate General \u201cTechnical inspection\u201d \u2013 DG TI;<\/li>\n<li>Directorate General \u201cQuality control of liquid fuels\u201d \u2013 DG QCLF;<\/li>\n<li>Directorate General \u201cQuality control of solid fuels for domestic heating\u201d \u2013 GD QCFDH;<\/li>\n<li>Directorate General \u201cMetrological supervision\u201d \u2013 DG MSv;<\/li>\n<li>Directorate General \u201cSupervision of dam walls and related facilities\u201d \u2013 DG SDWRF;<\/li>\n<li>Directorate \u201cDesignation of conformity assessment bodies\u201d &#8211; DCAB.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The\u00a0<strong>SAMTS activities<\/strong>\u00a0are regulated by following\u00a0<strong>10 laws<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Law on technical requirements for products (LTRP);<\/li>\n<li>Law on consumer protection (LCP);<\/li>\n<li>Clean air act (CAA);<\/li>\n<li>Law on measurements (LM);<\/li>\n<li>Road transport act (\u0420T\u0410);<\/li>\n<li>Waste management act (WMA);<\/li>\n<li>Renewable energy law (REL);<\/li>\n<li>Law on protection against harmful influence of chemical substances and mixtures (LPHICSM);<\/li>\n<li>Tourism law (TL);<\/li>\n<li>Water act (WA).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.damtn.government.bg\/en\/about-the-agency\/samts-today\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The main objectives<\/a> in carrying out the <strong>SAMTS<\/strong> activities are strategic and operational.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] STATE AGENCY FOR METROLOGICAL AND TECHNICAL SURVEILLANCE (SAMTS)\u00a0is the state surveillance authority.
