On 15th October 2015 the Quality Management System of the State Agency for Metrological and Technical Surveillance, developed according to the requirements of the standard БДС EN ISO 9001:2008, was implemented.
By obtaining a QM certificate, SAMTS, in its capacity of a beneficiary, successfully finalized the realization of the project Implementation and certification of SAMTS’s quality management system complying with the requirements of standard BDS EN ISO 9001:2008 (a grant contract no. 13-31-4/24.04.2014). The procedure for granting a free financial aid is realized within the Operative Program Administrative Capacity co-financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund.
On 13th October 2017 the SAMTS‘s QMS Certificate was re-issued having an expansion of the scope of the implemented QMS according to the requirements of БДС EN ISO 9001: 2008 standard by including the activities carried out by Directorate General “Supervision of dams and related facilities” – DG SDRF.
On 17th June 2018 the contract no. 11-00-39/19.04.2018, signed between SAMTS and SEGA-M Ltd and having a subject Provision of services on transition to БДС EN ISO 9001:2015 of the implemented SAMTS’s quality management system (БДС EN ISO 9001:2008) and carrying out of a complete internal audit of the SAMTS QMS for compliance with the requirements of the new standard, ended successfully. The SAMTS’s QMS is considered to have fully passed to the new БДС EN ISO 9001:2015, starting from 6th June 2018 by virtue of the Order А-414/01.06.2018 of the SAMTS President.
On 30-31 August 2018, the SAMTS’s quality management system successfully passed a re-certification against the requirements of БДС EN ISO 9001:2015 standard. SAMTS received its new certificate for compliance with the newest БДС EN ISO 9001:2015 standard from Bureau Veritas Certification.
On 08-10.09.2020, after a supervisory audit was carried out and an expansion of the scope of the Quality Management System was made in accordance to the requirements of БДС EN ISO 9001:2015 standard, including the activities performed by DG QCFDH and the new activity of DG TI, the Quality Certificate was reissued.
In September 2021 the QMS of SAMTN passed a successful recertification against the requirements of БДС EN ISO 9001:2015 standard. A new certificate no. 41641/21/S of 10/09/2021 was issued by RINA Bulgaria Ltd. with a validity period up to 14.09.2024.
The proper QMS functioning ensures the quality improvement of SAMTS‘s control and supervision activities and provided services, thereby improvement of the administrative service to citizens and business is achieved and it contributes for achieving the Agency’s objective: improvement of the state administration’s performance for implementing effective policies, quality servicing to citizens and business and thus creating conditions for sustainable economic growth.
