SAMTS has donated four smart phones and four tablets to a non-governmental non-profit organization – Association “Zonta – Club” Plovdiv

On behalf of PROSAFE, the State agency for metrological and technical surveillance (SAMTS) has donated four smartphones and four tablets to the non-profit organization Zonta – club Plovdiv. The smartphones and tablets were bought by PROSAFE as implementation of the JAHARP 2020-1, WP3 project of the European Commission. They were tested for compliance with the essential requirements in an accredited test laboratory in Germany. On 20.12.2023, in the building of the Early childhood development Complex, the products in an excellent technical condition were handed over by the Chief Director of the GDMS in SAMTS Miroslav Yotov, and project manager, Mrs. Antoaneta Belcheva to Mrs. Nevena Bozhilova – chairman of the Association “Zonta – Club” Plovdiv. The products are personally donated to children housed in family-type accommodation. This act of donation aims to promote progress in education and social integration, directing resources to disadvantaged children. Smart phones provide quick and easy access to information, communication and online resources, and tablets provide flexibility and mobility in learning. The idea behind this act of giving is to highlight the importance of education and technology as tools to support and develop society.
